Built on Experience
The leadership team behind Vitis Energy has been developing utility-scale power projects since 2014. Over the past decade, our team has helped develop, finance, construct, and operate generation assets across the United States, including some of the largest independently developed combined cycle facilities built in recent years.
Collectively, our team has developed, built, financed, or managed more than 10 GW of generation representing over $68 billion in project capital.
We’ve worked through every stage of the project lifecycle, from site selection and permitting to financing, construction, and commercial operation. That experience shapes how we evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and create lasting value.

We’re a deliberately focused team. We don’t pursue every opportunity, and we don’t build a pipeline simply to grow a number on a slide. Every project we advance receives the full attention of our team, from the first site visit through commercial operation.
Our independence allows us to think long term. Decisions are made by the people closest to the work and guided by what is best for the project, our partners, and the communities we serve.

We develop battery energy storage, solar-plus-storage, and dispatchable generation projects across North American power markets.
While much of the industry has focused on a single technology pathway, our foundation in power generation gives us a broader perspective on the evolving needs of the electric grid and the importance of balancing reliability, affordability, and sustainability.

Stephanie Clarkson
Chief Executive Officer
Stephanie serves as the company’s chief executive officer, leading the strategic planning and oversight for more than 5 GW of new and existing power generation investments. She previously served as the chief financial officer of NTE Energy and was responsible for the capitalization of over 2 GW of greenfield development and 1 GW of assets in operation that are among the most efficient generation facilities in the Americas. She has also led financing activities for large-scale public infrastructure projects in North America, including large bridge and roadway design-build projects, water/wastewater projects and other large electric utility projects.
Akhil Chhabra
Vice President, Commercial
Akhil provides leadership for Vitis Energy’s commercial and commodity market activities. He is a proven leader in the energy sector with expertise in clean energy strategy, renewable origination, asset management, and financial oversight. Akhil supported over 1GW of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage development across the US, EU, and Southeast Asia. He is skilled in greenfield development, M&A support, and aligning business strategies with evolving policies and market opportunities.
Ryan Mitchell
Vice President, Finance
Ryan leads the company’s asset management and finance functions, overseeing capital deployment, portfolio management, and financial strategy. With more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure investment, project finance, capital markets, and project execution, he has led debt and equity financings, managed lender relationships, and worked closely with institutional investors and leading infrastructure sponsors. Ryan holds an MBA from USC, master’s degrees in finance and accounting from the University of Miami, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.
Kevin Engmann
Vice President, Project Execution
Kevin oversees engineering, procurement and construction across the company’s portfolio of utility scale solar and battery energy storage projects. In this role, he directs all technical and commercial aspects of equipment supply, EPC and O&M, setting execution strategy and ensuring consistent delivery across project teams. Kevin brings more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with a background in thermal design, application engineering and renewable development. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
